10 ways to calm acidity -The ayurvedic way

The dryness in my throat in the morning-Oh its just dehydration…..

And many more such things which u can answer logically sometimes have deeper issues…. LIKE ACIDITY

Take this quick test to know whether the commonest problems u have are because of acidity or not
Answer in yes or no and give yourself 1 mark for every yes

 1.⁠ ⁠Do feel bitter taste in your mouth?
 2.⁠ ⁠⁠Does ur throat feel dry and itchy when u get up?
 3.⁠ ⁠⁠Do u get sour or bitter belching empty stomach or 15-20 mins after meal?
 4.⁠ ⁠⁠Do u feel ur food isn’t getting digested properly?
 5.⁠ ⁠⁠Do u feel extremely hungry and then u feel bloated or full after first bite ?

If more than 3 of these have yes then here are 2 things which can help u
 1.⁠ ⁠Ushapana – water intake in the morning 1-2 glasses as per capacity ( better to take at dawn ) but if u are a late riser then.
•⁠ ⁠add following things to water overnight – fennel, Yashtimadhu( Mulethi) or basil seeds
 2.⁠ ⁠⁠correct wake up time – the longer u sleep acid secretions build up and the laying posture increases the chances of reflux.
 3.⁠ ⁠⁠avoid stress – stress or chinta increases pitta dosha
 4.⁠ ⁠⁠ Avoid late dinner and avoid curd , fried foods or acidic foods like juices and fruits
 5.⁠ ⁠⁠Cold milk – Best remedy for Amla pitta
 6.⁠ ⁠⁠amla candy – sucking or chewing sweet amla candy
 7.⁠ ⁠⁠Eat a banana – it will soothe the gut and will provide enough for the acid to calm down
 8.⁠ ⁠⁠Do not rush to eat – it will give ur stomach signals to release more acid – take something sweet first if non diabetic like a little white sugar
 9.⁠ ⁠⁠stay upright for a while and move (brisk walking)
10.⁠ ⁠⁠and if nothing works take a piece of bread or roti and eat it
